According to a survey undertaken by Silverpop, 40 per cent of the email marketers are determined to increase their email marketing budget for the year 2010. While nearly half of them, i.e. 47 per cent to be precise said that it would remain the same for them at least for the present year.
52 per cent of the email marketers said that in the coming years, increasing the customer loyalty through email marketing would be their primary goal to achieve. E marketers consider email marketing to be a very useful and important means to build good relationship with the customers. They consider that relevant context and useful offers are very important to appeal the customers towards brand building and brand identity.
Special discount offers or attractive email content plays a very important role in engaging the customer, and thereby increasing the chances of sale. Every now and then, strategists are coming up with new techniques to involve the customers and bring them together through email marketing campaigns.
The email marketers are very positive about the role played by emails to meet their set goals. They are also optimistic about the increased email marketing budget for the coming years. But this time e marketers have real challenge to face before them as the launch of Google’s Gmail priority inbox and along with Gmail other email service providers are also following the technique of priority inbox, which will make their task a bit difficult. The main motive of the email marketers would now be to be in the good books of the customers and compel them not only to read their mails and reply them, but also desperately wait for the other one.
Around 84 per cent of the email marketers are planning to incorporate social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter as a part of email marketing campaign. 38 per cent of them are planning to add SMS as a part of their marketing and customer building strategy. With the ones with increased campaign capital, 89 per cent is determined to include social networking with email marketing and 44 per cent SMS.
The e marketers are excited with the introduction and incorporation of social media along with email marketing as it is strategized to increase mass exposure and it is easy to refer amongst group and network. And with the amalgamation of SMS it will be easy for the customers to be up to date with their marketing.
